DTV News: Rural areas gear for digital TV

Low-power stations, Class A television stations and translator stations that rebroadcast the signal from full-power stations in many rural areas will not be affected at first when the digital switchover occurs according to the article, but eventually will be upgraded after the February 17th, 2009 date.
There’s also a little blurb from the article that mentions The Environmental Protection Agency is encouraging people who own an analog TV to extend the life of their TV by purchasing a digital converter box.
