This Box was designed specifically to be stingy on Power Consumption. Even when left on for hours (via the Line Power Supply) it runs as cool as an ice-cube ! I REALLY like the alternate 9V battery backup for the main D-Cell pack. Yea, it may have s few shortcomings, but, it keeps on ticking!
That's kinda important, when you're staring down a Cat 5 Hurricane. Good job Winegard !

my cell phone came with analog tv.
the chinese manufacturer tells me they will still receive the digi signal. it has a pull out antenna.
i wonder about that. we'll soon see.
this battery powered conveter won't connect to a cell phone. the round pin has no connecting port on the phone. some chinese manufactures don't even know about the change over.

I live in florida and remember not too long ago being with out power for two weeks during a hurricane. I Think there will be a demand for a battery TV converter box.
PS I have a converter box that requires 120 volts AC but without electrical conection, no TV and must relie on battery powered radio, which I have three.
