Will I need a special antenna to receive DTV over-the-air?

Reception of over-the-air digital TV programming may require an antenna depending on your location from local TV broadcast towers. A set top DTV antenna is recommended for improving clarity of the broadcast both visually and audibly.

A common misconception about DTV and antennas is that a consumer must use a “DTV antenna” or an antenna designed for DTV. This is not true, as most all television antennas can be used with analog and digital television, including rabbit ear and roof top antennas.
